This year, Dakota's Birthday landed on Thanksgiving day.  My baby turned 4 years old and I wonder everyday where the time has gone.
This birthday was extra special and it meant more to us than her previous birthdays.  I know that every birthday we have is to celebrate the year we were given and the year to come.  This year however, we celebrate that we were given our daughter back, that God allowed us to keep her.  
I was going to write her miracle story for her Birthday/Thanksgiving post but I could not get through it.  Hopefully one day I will be able to finish it.

Blessing In Disquise

An event that happened on June 2, 2011 on a day that was supposed to be the first of many summer "fun" days quickly turned into a nightmare.  Our family has never been the same since.  Please read the link below for a glimpse into the outcome of that event.  Until I have the strength to put myself in that dark place to share the miracle that we witnessed, this is all I have to share about it for now.  This is the first time the memory of the event has shaken me as if it has happened all over again.  

I stopped what I was doing and had one of the best days with my girls focusing on them and being grateful once again.
