3-1/2 year Dakota: "Look Mommy! A Rainbow!"
I turn around to see 22 month baby Hayden making big rainbow type movements on the carpet with a marker, as Dakota is squatting right next to her just watching the entire time.
Me: "OH MY GOSH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???!!!
DAKOTA, WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP HER???!!!"
DAKOTA, WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP HER???!!!"
Dakota: "Mommy, are you mad at Hayden or Me?"
Me: "Both of you, Hayden for marking up the carpet and you because you didn't try to stop her."
Ugghh!!! This is why I want to change our carpet to wood floors.
Maybe one day.
Maybe one day.
But seriously... I can't stay mad at these faces!

Oh dear!!! Hardwood floors would really pay off in a situation like that! But you're right, who could stay mad at those sweet little faces?!?
