Valentine's Interview Series Day 3: Lena @ Mom 2 Memphis and Ruby

I'm so excited to bring you this special Valentine's Day series.  I came up with some questions that would help us to get to know what others may be thinking about Valentine's Day.  I wanted to know what makes it special for them, what is their fondest memories, and their favorite things to do on this special day.  Towards the end you will a special message for their Valentine.

Today's Interview is with Lena from Mom 2 Memphis and Ruby.  Here's what Lena has to say...

What does Valentine's Day mean to you?
To be honest... Valentine's Day doesn't mean "much" to us as a couple. Do we make a little extra effort to do something nice? Of course... but the most special days to us are the ones when we surprise each other with treats & surprises for NO reasopn. The ones "out of the blue" that remind us how much we love each other.
I do love all the candy, though... and we always make sure to spoil the kids a little. ;)
Share your most memorable Valentine's Day.
Oooooh, I'm so lame! I can't remember! haha
Our V Days BEFORE kids were always much more relaxed. Hubby is a wonderful cook, so there were a few Valentine's Days where he surprised with me a delicious dinner by candlelight followed by... a nice evening. ;)
What would be your ideal Valentine's Day?
would love if my hubby would arrange to have the kids watched, so we could head out of town to the city for a nice walk around the local market for a little shopping. dinner at a cute, little restaurant, followed by a little dancing and a night at a sweet little B & B.
Do you have a favorite Valentine's treat or craft that you do? If yes, please share. OR Favorite Valentine's item from your shop or favorite shop.
Again, I don't do anything extraordinary for this holiday... but I'd love to make {or buy!} a cute wreath to display on our front door!  Something sweet & cute like this one I found on Etsy!
Do you celebrate Valentine's Day just on the day, does it need to be on the day, and/or do you celebrate all month?
We don't "celebrate" usually... but we try to be extra sweet to each other around V Day! lol
Valentine's Day is about celebrating the ones you love. What does LOVE mean to you?
Love is unconditional. Nobody is perfect, and it's important to love someone for who they are & celebrate that. Love is happiness.Love really is all you need!
Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions that you still follow as a grown up that your parent's did with you as a child?
We make Valentine's Day cards with the kids to handout at school!
What is your most favorite thing about Valentine's Day?
The candy! lol
Your special message to your Valentine...
"We've been together for 15 years... we met as teenagers and have grown up together and created a beautiful family, and I am so grateful for that... and for you. You are beautiful to me and I love you a hundred times more every day. XxOo"

Lena's ideal Valentine's Day is similar to mine. I can't wait to make Valentine's Day cards with the kids for school. Next year!
